The Swedish mezzo-soprano Emma Sventelius began in 2013 her Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Currently she is completing her bachelor degree at Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Her recent and upcoming engagement includes Suzuki in Madama Butterfly at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the title role as Carmen at Malmö Opera, the title role in Händel’s Orlando at Royal Opera in Stockholm and Christmas Oratorio with Odense Symphony Orchestra. In the 19/20 season she will be part of the ensemble at Theater Bonn where she will sing Octavian in Rosenkavalier, Cherubino in Nozze di Figaro, Kate in Madama Butterfly and Russian Nanny in Britten’s “Death in Venice” among others. She will also sing Mozart Requiem with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra , Beethoven IX with Beethoven Orchester Bonn and Bach’s Weinachtsoratorium with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra.
